Progress Report

Today I have finished my evaluation question number four, 3/03/2012. After making good notes in class, I used that information, along side existing audience research to build a persona for my typical target audience. I had also drawn a picture of my ideal audience member, and  included every detail I thought necessary.

Progress Report

I have started my evaluation 1/03/2012, but have had some difficulties with embedding my prezi onto my post. After trying to change the html code, it still wouldn't post, however I finally realised I had missed out a vital part of the code. Once I had resurrected this, my prezi then uploaded into my evaluation post.

Final Music Changes

After carrying out research into the soundtracks of Thrillers, we identified certain aspects that we could incorporate in our Thriller soundtrack that would create tension and attract our target audience. Once we had decided upon a particular genre of music, I then went about highlighting key techniques and sounds to fully capture the mood and feel of our film.
As I had a small amount of knowledge using Logic Studio (the music production software,) I decided to utilise this program to create a successful soundtrack. However, I knew that I did not have the necessary skills and abilities to compose our soundtrack immediately, so therefore I used particular resources such as online tutorials and manuals to give a better overview of the program. After a week, I decided I was competent enough to begin composing our soundtrack. Throughout the process of composing our soundtrack, I learnt a lot. I believe that the soundtrack I composed boasts the necessary effects that we were looking for.

Changes to title and fonts

After changing our film idea and concept, we had to also change our film title. We wanted to have a title that was mysterious, but highlighted the main topic of the film. We eventually came up with the title 'HIM'- we believed it was suited to our film, as the film is based around a male characters psychological issues and their implications. We thought long and hard about possible fonts, and found a few that we thought would look good.We all agreed on the left one, as it looks more professional, and important, and relates to the serious, structured, element of our film.
The font to the right we also liked, however we thought it was too casual, and looked like it should be on a magazine. The font does not look that important, and looks rather child like. This is not the impression we wanted to give, so we choice not to use this one.

my analysis of our filming work so far.

although we have not done much filming or spent much time together filming, i can see we work well together. we took little time to get a lot done and we did it well. we are very organised and serious when it comes to filming, making sure every shot is perfect.
we also have a large variation of different shots to create effect. our main camera woman, rachel is also very good at long panning shots. these our one of our strongest points and we will most likely likely include them in our later piece.
