After carrying out research into the soundtracks of Thrillers, we identified certain aspects that we could incorporate in our Thriller soundtrack that would create tension and attract our target audience. Once we had decided upon a particular genre of music, I then went about highlighting key techniques and sounds to fully capture the mood and feel of our film.
As I had a small amount of knowledge using Logic Studio (the music production software,) I decided to utilise this program to create a successful soundtrack. However, I knew that I did not have the necessary skills and abilities to compose our soundtrack immediately, so therefore I used particular resources such as online tutorials and manuals to give a better overview of the program. After a week, I decided I was competent enough to begin composing our soundtrack. Throughout the process of composing our soundtrack, I learnt a lot. I believe that the soundtrack I composed boasts the necessary effects that we were looking for.
